Januarys bite has been very good despite the heavy winds and cold weather. The Sheepshead are here in full force. The docks, oyster bars and deeper mangrove shorelines are holding monster sheepies. The trout bite is also very consistent with days of 40+ trout being caught on live shrimp under a popping cork. The passes are holding good numbers of whiting and a few pompano as well. Occasional redfish are being caught on cut pinfish fished under the mangroves during the high tide. Dont let the wind and cold water temps discourage you from getting out and bending some rods.
