This December we have been fortunate with the weather we have had. The bait is still around in good numbers and so are the fish. The trout bite has been on fire with reports of catching up to 50 plus trout a day caught using live shrimp or pilchards under a popping cork in 2 to 4 ft of water. There are numbers of smaller snook in the passes being caught on free lined pilchards. And there are a few redfish being caught in the backBay fishing underneath the mangroves and around oyster bars using cut bait, live pilchards or live shrimp.
